Current Role: SWE-Cloud at a MAANG Company, contributing to customer-facing products in the iCloud space, including mail, contacts, and calendar. Ravi is dedicated to enhancing these applications by leveraging cutting-edge technologies.
Previous Experience:
- At Amazon, Ravi played a key role in building a high-throughput, low-latency storage and computation platform for Amazon’s retail business, supporting 65M+ TPS and under 5ms latency. This platform serves over 400 teams across Amazon and powers mission-critical systems like storage, caching, and business object derivation.
- Ravi also worked on platform enhancements for retail promotions, creating tools for promotion management, including Black Friday Deals, and improving customer experience.
- Earlier, Ravi worked as a consultant on banking products and Single Sign-On web portals, supporting 285+ applications for end-users.
Technologies: Ravi is proficient in a wide range of technologies, including JavaScript, Python, Kubernetes, AWS (IAM, S3, EC2, VPC, SNS, Lambda), Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, NoSQL, DHT, Distributed Systems, Linux, Core Java, and Web Services.
Mentorship: Ravi actively mentors upcoming developers, guiding them through technical architecture, code reviews, career growth, and integration into high-performance teams.
